Yonder Table began with two friends, brought together by an unexpected turn in life. Our love of food is what continued to bring us together. We'd gather at our favorite local restaurants and share life through food, great stories, and a lot of laughter.
We began to feel a sense of place as we got to know the restaurant owners, chefs, and staff. If only everyone could know these restaurants the way we did ... Then it hit us! Why don't we bring our experience to others? Yonder Table was born.

“Pull up a chair…” if a single phrase could capture the essence of Julia, this would be it. For as long as she can remember the table has been the hub of her home – raising four children and now adding two grandchildren – the table has rarely been empty. Hospitality is her method of communicating with friends, family, and guests. For Julia, the table is an anchor – the foundation for creating equity among all who join together in laughter, tears, discussions and of course – breaking bread and raising glasses. Yonder Table provides an opportunity to gather small groups together at the tables of the best chef’s in Nashville… while making new friends, celebrating old friends, and taking a couple of hours to experience our culinary culture in a whole new way.
Mary Stodola
Mary's deeply rooted passion for incredible food and a strong community goes well beyond her culinary education and tenure as a chef. It's a legacy that began in her mother's kitchen. Engulfed in a symphony of sights, sounds, textures, aromas, and flavors, it was a place that fully engaged the senses, nourished the heart, and often culminated in a vibrant feast open to the whole community. This early inspiration has been the driving force behind the woman we know today. Mary is known for her warm, engaging style and culinary expertise. You can find her seeking out new food adventures to share with others - especially her daughter, Amelia - as she shares the legacy that began at her mother's table.
